The designer of this collection was fascinated by the regularity of these hexagonal prisms that can be topped with less regularly shaped elements, for example like a wreath. The Lewa occasional table takes just this shape and its surface is divided into separate sections to create a harmonious display in which various objects can be arranged. One section is ceramic and has edges sufficiently high enough to hold water so cut flowers can be delicately placed as they might be in a Japanese zen bowl. The occasional table’s base is finished in satin black lacquered steel. The top is available in black stained solid Ash with the ceramic tray in gloss black enamel.
