We don’t see them, and yet… Foams, well hidden beneath the fabric covering of our seats, are the heart of comfort. The real stars of softness and ‘hold’, of unctuousness and ergonomics.
Perfect comfort, this is the fruit of a complex assembly of densities and pieces in shapes skilfully honed by our R&D department, cut to the precise millimetre by the latest machines to express the elegance of the design. A puzzle of extreme precision, sculpted from giant high resilience blocks which look like giant marshmallows in beige, pink or even pastel blue. But make no mistake, they only look like giant soft sweets.
There are nearly twenty different types of them in our factories, which we combine depending on the model and desired comfort level. At the heart of an “all foam” seat, like the iconic Togo or Sandra, and on the peripheral sections (back, armrests, etc.) one finds very dense structural foams, then as one comes closer to the body they soften to envelop it.
