Terms and conditions of sale

Last updated: 22/10/2026

1. Seller identity and scope

These Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to purchases made by consumers through the Ligne Roset UK online store at www.ligne-roset.com/uk.

The website is operated by ROSET (UK) LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 01483337, with its registered office at Regus, The Broadway, St Mary's Court, Amersham, England, HP7 0UT (hereinafter referred to as “Ligne Roset”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

These Terms and Conditions apply to deliveries within Great Britain only (England, Scotland and Wales). They do not apply to deliveries to Northern Ireland or Jersey.

By placing an order through our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing your order.

These Terms and Conditions apply to consumers purchasing products for personal use. They do not apply to purchases made for resale or for commercial distribution.

2. Purpose

These Terms and Conditions set out the conditions under which Ligne Roset offers products for sale through its UK online store, including the ordering process, prices, payment, delivery, cancellation, returns and applicable warranties.

The products offered for sale are those displayed on the website, subject to availability and the conditions specified on each product page.

3. Placing an order

3.1 Selecting products

Customers may select products from the online catalogue and add them to their shopping basket.

Before placing an order, customers should check the product description, dimensions, materials, finishes, price, delivery options and estimated delivery time.

3.2 Confirming an order

The customer must provide the information requested during checkout, including a valid delivery address within Great Britain and accurate contact details.

Before confirming the order, the customer can review the selected products and correct any errors.

The order is placed when the customer confirms the purchase using the final order button and completes the required payment process.

An order confirmation will be sent by email. This confirmation acknowledges receipt of the order; the contract will be formed in accordance with the confirmation and applicable law.

We reserve the right to contact the customer if information is missing or if an issue arises in processing the order.

3.3 Order cancellation

Customers may exercise any statutory cancellation rights applicable to their purchase, as described in Article 12.

Any request to cancel an order outside those statutory rights will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Cancellation of an order for a product made to order may not be possible once production has started, subject to the customer's statutory rights.

4. Products made to order

Certain products are made to order and may therefore have longer delivery times than products held in stock.

The estimated delivery time will be indicated on the relevant product page or communicated during the ordering process.

Products made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised may be excluded from the statutory right to cancel, where the relevant legal conditions are met. The fact that a product is made after an order is placed does not, by itself, mean that it is excluded from cancellation rights.

This provision does not affect the customer's statutory rights in relation to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied products.

5. Prices

Product prices are displayed on the website in pounds sterling (£), inclusive of any applicable VAT where required by law.

Any delivery, installation or additional service charges will be displayed separately before the customer confirms the order.

The total amount payable will be shown at checkout before payment is taken.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time. However, the price applicable to an order is the price displayed when the order is placed and accepted.

If a pricing error is identified after an order has been placed, we will contact the customer to explain the issue and discuss the available options before proceeding.

6. Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.

The available payment methods and any applicable payment conditions will be displayed during the ordering process.

Payment is processed through the relevant payment service provider. Additional security checks may be required to verify the transaction.

If payment is declined or cannot be authorised, the order may not be processed. We will inform the customer where possible.

The customer must be authorised to use the payment method selected.

7. Product availability

Products are offered for sale subject to availability.

For products held in stock, availability may change before an order is confirmed.

For products made to order, production and delivery times depend on the product and its specifications.

If a product becomes unavailable after an order has been accepted, we will contact the customer and explain the available options. Where the order cannot be fulfilled, the customer will receive a refund of the amounts paid for the unavailable product.

8. Order confirmation and invoicing

An order confirmation will be sent to the email address provided by the customer.

The customer is responsible for checking the accuracy of the information provided, including the delivery address and contact details.

An invoice or other appropriate proof of purchase will be issued in accordance with applicable requirements.

9. Delivery and installation

9.1 Delivery area

We deliver to addresses within Great Britain only: England, Scotland and Wales. We do not offer delivery to Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland or Jersey.

9.2 Delivery charges and times

Delivery charges and estimated delivery times will be displayed on the relevant product page or during checkout.

Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on the product, stock availability, production requirements and the delivery address.

If a delivery delay occurs, we will inform the customer where reasonably possible.

Unless otherwise agreed with the customer, goods must be delivered within the period required by applicable law.

9.3 Arranging delivery

Where delivery requires an appointment, the customer will be contacted using the details provided with the order.

The customer must ensure that the delivery address is accessible and that the product can reasonably be brought into the intended room.

The customer should inform us before delivery of any access restrictions, including narrow staircases, restricted entrances, limited parking or other circumstances that may affect delivery.

Any additional charges arising from access difficulties or a failed delivery may be payable only where the charges and applicable conditions have been properly communicated to the customer and are permitted by law.

9.4 Inspection on delivery

The customer is encouraged to inspect the products upon delivery and report any visible damage or discrepancy as soon as reasonably possible.

If the customer notices damage, they should record it with the delivery team where possible and contact customer service, providing photographs and the order number if available.

Failure to report visible damage immediately does not remove any statutory rights the customer may have.

9.5 Delivery failure

If delivery cannot be completed because the customer is unavailable or the address or access information provided is incorrect, we will contact the customer to arrange the next steps.

Any re-delivery charges will be communicated in advance and will be applied only where permitted by law.

10. Ownership and risk

The products remain our responsibility until they come into the physical possession of the customer or a person identified by the customer to receive them, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Ownership of the products passes to the customer once full payment has been received, subject to applicable law.

Nothing in this article limits the customer's statutory rights.

11. Product descriptions and presentation

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, dimensions, photographs, colours and other information on the website are accurate.

However, colours and finishes may appear differently depending on the screen and device used. Natural materials and handcrafted finishes may also show variations.

Any such variations will not affect the customer's statutory rights where a product does not conform to its description or the contract.

The customer should refer to the product specifications and information provided on the relevant product page before ordering.

12. Statutory cancellation rights and returns

12.1 Right to cancel

For most products purchased online, consumers have the right to cancel their order without giving a reason within 14 days from the day after they receive the goods, subject to the exceptions provided by law.

Where an order consists of several products delivered separately, the cancellation period generally begins on the day after the customer receives the last product.

To exercise this right, the customer must clearly inform us of their decision to cancel within the applicable period. They may use the cancellation form at the end of these Terms and Conditions or send another clear statement.

12.2 Exceptions

The statutory right to cancel does not apply to certain products, including goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised, where the relevant legal conditions are met.

A product is not automatically excluded from cancellation rights merely because it is manufactured after the order is placed.

12.3 Returning products

After notifying us of cancellation, the customer must return the products within 14 days, unless we have offered to collect them or applicable law provides otherwise.

The products should be handled only to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, as the customer would be permitted to do in a shop.

The customer may be liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the products, where permitted by law.

Unless we have agreed to collect the products or applicable law requires otherwise, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning them. Because furniture can be bulky or heavy, the cost of returning a product may be substantial. Customers should contact us before arranging a return to confirm the appropriate procedure.

12.4 Refunds following cancellation

Where a statutory cancellation right applies, we will reimburse the customer in accordance with applicable law.

The refund will include the price paid for the cancelled products and the cost of standard delivery, where required. If the customer selected a more expensive delivery option, we are not required to refund the additional cost above the least expensive standard delivery option.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned products or the customer has provided evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first, unless we have offered to collect them.

Refunds will be made within the period required by law, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

12.5 Faulty or damaged products

The cancellation process described above does not limit the customer's rights where products are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.

In such cases, the customer should contact customer service so that the issue can be assessed and an appropriate remedy arranged.

13. Legal rights and product guarantees

Products supplied to consumers must comply with applicable consumer protection law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where applicable.

Products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Consumers may be entitled to remedies where products do not meet these requirements.

Depending on the circumstances and the applicable legal provisions, remedies may include a refund, repair, replacement or price reduction.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Any additional manufacturer's warranty, if offered, applies in addition to the customer's statutory rights and is subject to the terms provided with that warranty.

14. Liability and force majeure

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.

We are not responsible for a failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, provided that this provision does not affect any rights the customer has under applicable law.

Where such circumstances affect an order, we will take reasonable steps to inform the customer and minimise the impact.

15. Customer service and complaints

If the customer has a question, complaint or concern about an order, delivery or product, they should contact Ligne Roset customer service using the contact details provided on the UK website or in their order confirmation.

When contacting us, the customer should provide their order number and a description of the issue, together with photographs where relevant.

We will review the matter and seek to resolve it within a reasonable time.

16. Intellectual property

The Ligne Roset name, trademarks, logos, product designs, photographs, text and other content displayed on the website are protected by intellectual property laws.

Unless expressly authorised in writing, no part of the website or its content may be reproduced, distributed, modified or used for commercial purposes.

Access to the website does not grant the customer any ownership rights in the intellectual property displayed on it.

17. Use of the website

Customers must use the website lawfully and must not attempt to interfere with its operation, security or availability.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, our customers or our business, subject to applicable law.

18. Severability and waiver

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

Any failure by Ligne Roset to enforce a provision immediately does not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision later.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and Conditions are intended for consumer sales delivered within Great Britain.

They are subject to the applicable laws and mandatory consumer protections governing the customer's purchase. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions deprives a consumer of any protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where a dispute arises, the customer is encouraged to contact Ligne Roset customer service first in order to seek an amicable resolution.

Nothing in this article restricts the customer's right to bring proceedings before a court with appropriate jurisdiction.

20. Amendments to these Terms and Conditions

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The version applicable to an order will be the version in force when the order is placed, unless a change is required by law or otherwise agreed with the customer.

The current version will be made available on the UK website.
