Characteristics

For Ligne Roset, Ruché brings together the unusual and the traditional. The name refers to a sewing technique in which fabric is gathered or pleated; it has long served as a decoration for clothing. The unusual thing about this piece is its solid wood structure, and the traditional element: the quilting, the very heart of Ligne Roset's savoir-faire. Its tall uprights and the undulations of its duvet combine to produce a harmonious union of rigorous straight lines and soft, welcoming curves. Slender and fine, Ruché is nonetheless soft and welcoming. We might also add that the very design of Ruché offers a collection of seating which allies comfort and compactness: its depth is only 36 1/4'' / 92 cm the length of the various pieces varies between 67'' /170 cm and 78 3/4'' / 200 cm, ideal for small apartments. Finally, its seat height (17 3/4'' / 45 cm) will appeal to a broad clientèle, specifically those who reject seats which are too low. The 2 sofas are also available in a low-back version (25 1/2''/65 cm instead of 32 3/4''/83 cm), with a lower seat (15''/38 cm instead of 18 1/4''/46 cm), a greater depth (39 3/4'' /101 cm instead of 36 1/4'' /92 cm) and a backward sloping seat/back with integrated lumbar support. They offer the dual advantages of remarkable comfort as well as having the look of a truly domestic sofa, moving far away from the 'banquette' look. The lower lines enable the sofas to elegantly assimilate into all spaces, even the smallest of rooms. CONSTRUCTION Structure and feet in solid wood, reinforced by two steel frames on the seat and back. Protective gliders on feet. Choice of 4 finishes for feet: natural matt varnished beech, or stained anthracite or red beech. Integral table surface (for one-arm settees) in matching beech veneered MDF. COMFORT Pullmaflex suspension on seat. Suspension of back via sprung steel grille. Elastic-webbed suspension on arms. Seat cushion in high resilience polyurethane Bultex foam 42 kg/m³ - 4.8 kPa and 38 kg/m³ - 3.6 kPa. Back cushion in polyurethane foam 30 kg/m³ - 1.8 kPa. Armrests in Bultex foam 26 kg/m³ - 1.4 kPa. The 2 low-back sofas are always provided with a matching pair of rectangular lumbar cushions (H 91/2''/24cm W 231/4''/59cm D 43/4''/12cm). These cushions have removable covers & are lined with new goose feathers (10 % down / 90 % feathers). One face of the cushion is smooth while the other face is quilted in the same style as the entire Ruché collection. These 2 lumbars are also priced separately and are thus available as an option for the high-backed sofas. MAKING-UP Cover quilted with 300g/m² polyester quilting and ultra-flexible polyurethane foam 30kg/m³ - 1.8 kPa. The highly sophisticated execution of the quilting is achieved by an industrial sewing machine. Fully removable covers. FABRICS Most non-patterned fabrics can be used with Ruché' velours, wools, thick cloths, microfibres and leathers.
