Désormeaux et Carrette
Studio Désormeaux/Carrette is a design studio which was founded by Nathanaël Désormeaux and Damien Carrette in January 2014. Specialising in industrial design, its vocation is to create objects suitable for series production. Today, the studio works with a range of clients from start-ups to prominent brands in the retail furniture and objects markets. Passion for materials and an instinctive understanding of what an object is meant to convey are fundamental to our creative approach. Deconstruction is at the centre of our design methodology. By taking apart and rethinking an object holistically, we reveal its technical heart. Thus our work consists of beautifying technicality with a view to not only integrating but also transcending it so that it becomes an object’s aesthetic heart. Through this prism, our studio seeks to question current production methods and to imbue industrial objects with poetry.
