MILLE ET CLAIRE

For Anne-Claire Lancenet, everything begins with the material. A fibre, an irregularity, an almost imperceptible touch — these become the starting point for a creation. Born in Paris, she develops a unique perspective, nourished by diverse cultures and travels between Europe and Asia, where she discovered the richness of artisanal techniques. After her many travels and more than twenty years in art direction, she chose to return to the essentials by founding Mille et Claire in 2014, conceived as a meeting place between contemporary design and textile traditions. There, she developed a personal style, based on the precision of materials, the simplicity of lines, and a particular attention to craftsmanship. This agency is conceived as a sensitive space, where design unfolds slowly, in close contact with artisans and natural materials. Her approach favours simple lines, subtle balances, and a certain restraint. Each piece engages with the body, becoming part of everyday life without ever imposing itself. More than a style, Anne-Claire Lancenet offers a way of living: an aesthetic of calm, precision and sensation.
