Jörg Höltje was born in 1981 in East Berlin. He started his studies of Industrial Design at the University of the Arts in Berlin in 2003. He founded the design studio Hausen together with Joscha Brose during their Industrial Design studies at the University of Arts in Berlin in 2006. Before Höltje graduated in 2009 he complemented his education with studying abroad, at the Politecnico di Milano. Since his first independent project at the UdK Berlin, he exhibited alone and with Studio Hausen at the Salone Satellite in Milan 2007, 2008 and 2010, his work has been shown in numerous international exhibitions, like IMM Cologne, DMY International Design festival Berlin, Seoul Design Festival in Korea and at the ICFF New York. Since then he has worked for a variety of clients such as Ligne Roset, De la Espada, Camper and Foundry. He is combing cutting-edge technologies, experimental production methods, traditional craft and new materials. Höltje's digital-analogue prototyping process includes collaborations with various partners from small workshops in Berlin and artists to the Fraunhofer Research Institute.
