Nathan Yong

Nathan Yong graduated in industrial design from Temasek Polytechnic in 1991. He did not begin his career as a designer, instead working in the purchasing and product development departments of various companies in Singapore. Such positions enabled him to travel in India, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and a range of other countries seeking manufacturers and craftsmen with a view to developing furniture and accessories for the home. He was also able to discover and acquire various skills and production techniques.
In 1999 Nathan opened a small store, Air Division, to sell his own experimental creations produced by Asian craftsmen. He achieved both commercial success and critical acclaim, in both Singapore and abroad. Later, he resumed and completed his studies at the University of New South Wales, Australia, gaining a Masters in Design, summa cum laude.
Nathan was awarded the prestigious Red Dot Concept Design Award two years later, with a mass production coffin and portable heating unit.
Nathan's creations are distinguished by an emotional approach influenced by the society and culture of Singapore, rooted in his childhood experiences. His creations have poetic nuances which express tranquillity; other trends can also be noted, such as a contemplative space, the illusion of nature, technology, tradition, and craftsmanship expressed with simplicity, humility and melancholy.
In 2008, Nathan was awarded the prestigious Singapore President's Design Award - Designer of the Year, the highest honour accorded to Singaporean designers from all creative disciplines.
Currently based in Singapore, Nathan heads up a multidisciplinary design studio which is active in the fields of industrial and graphic design, interior architecture, strategic brand planning and product and process development.
Nathan Yong's creations have been displayed in Singapore, Shizuoka, Milan, London, Cologne and Taipei.

Please inspect your purchase immediately upon delivery. If an item is damaged or unsatisfactory, your local retailer in charge of your order will work with you to resolve the issue to your satisfaction with expert product repair, parts replacement or exchange. You may also contact us via e-mail at customerservice@rosetusa.com. If you receive a damaged, defective or incorrect item, we will work with you to make things right.

These delivery, cancellation and return policies are only valid for items purchased on the official Ligne Roset (www.ligne-roset.com/us) e-commerce website for the U.S. market. 


Quick Ship Products
A non-refundable fee of 15% applies to returns, cancellations or changes on Quick Ship products. Full refunds are only given if the order is canceled within 48 hours of the order being placed.
White Glove Delivery service charges are not refundable. Returns must be received in original condition within 30 days. Credit card orders will receive refunds in the form of a credit back to the original account.

Returns are accepted only in the warehouse of your local retailer. No returns will be accepted at the store location itself. To make a return, please fill out a Return form and email to return@rosetusa.com. You will then be contacted by the store in charge of your order(s) with further details.


Made to Order Products
We do not accept any returns or exchanges on made to order furniture, this includes products not included in quick ship and/or custom (your choice of finish and fabric) products. 
Cancellation of an order can only be done within 48 hours of the order being placed. If you wish to cancel an order, please fill out a Cancellation form and e-mail to cancel@rosetusa.com. You will then be contacted by the store in charge of your order(s) with further details.

Payments
Ligne Roset collects the entire amount due at the time of the order. All prices on our website are listed in U.S. dollars and do not include tax and transportation costs. Sales tax is charged based on the State where the customer resides. For items offered as a set, the price listed refers to the entire set.
