Ligne Roset x Town & Concrete
For the 2018 London Design Festival, Ligne Roset Westend showroom presented “Arches”, a new installation in collaboration with renowned French artist and architect Cyril Lancelin, founder of Town & Concrete, whose work is characterized by his use of primitive forms to create classical shapes and volumetric spaces.
In Arches, classic design meets contemporary thinking. Based on a simple line giving life to a labyrinth, the installation is made of a three gold cylinders, curving their way throughout the showroom to create a series of unique archways, providing visitors a space for both contemplation and exploration. More than an object to view, it is a place to be experienced.
Sitting amongst Arches was a collection of Ligne Roset’s iconic Togo sofas, upholstered in a fabric called “One” which complements the installation. Visitors were able to learn about the history of Ligne Roset’s design classic and best seller, first introduced in 1973, and discover pieces of the new collection such as the Paipaï armchair, designed by LucidiPevere, or the Geoffrey mirror, by Alain Gilles.
