Characteristics

The Blur rug is inspired by the textures, patterns, and colours of nature. A fresh look at the elements to extract fragments. A recent trip to Norway inspired this work on the different effects on water. The fjords outline this landscape where the water from the glaciers is magical, both shimmering and crystal clear. The Blur rug pattern represents the reflections swaying on the surface of moving water. The subtle mix of colours creates a moiré effect, contrasting and blurred at the same time. Never fixed, the fluid, indefinite pattern is intriguing and lively. The chiselling technique brings relief and depth to this rug. Never fixed, the fluid, indefinite pattern is intriguing and lively. The Blur rug is made entirely from New Zealand wool (100%), the best quality wool in the world. It is hand-tufted. Rugs for domestic use.
