Description
This model draws inspiration from the ceramic pavements of Ipanema – the celebrated beach in Rio de Janeiro – with its curved design by Roberto Burle Marx, the great Brazilian architect, renowned the world over for his park and garden designs. Didier Gomez also draws inspiration from Oscar Niemeyer, one of the most celebrated Brazilian architects and designers. One sees this organic bean shape in several of his designs, amongst which numerous swimming pools and the roof of the Casa das Canoas. From the settee to the ‘canalounge’, via a 1-arm settee, these elements have been designed to offer maximum comfort. Ipanema issues an invitation to relax thanks to its harmonious and very generous volumes. With their irreproachable proportions, the design of these seats is sober, yet curvaceous. Ideal for shaping an interior and turning it into a real masterpiece.
