Martin Caillault Nicolas Leprince

Born in 2001 and graduated from Strate School of Design in 2024, Nicolas and Martin have followed complementary paths within the school. Nicolas specialized in product design while Martin turned to space design. Both share a particular attention to materials, their implementation and their life cycle. For his diploma project, Nicolas is developing an assembly tool designed to assemble materials from bulky items. He released a collection of household objects, intended for students, produced during collaborative workshops. His project reinvents our perspective on waste and its treatment. Martin dedicates his diploma project to the reuse of ski lift structures, transformed into shelters for new uses in the face of the decline of skiing linked to global warming. The project was congratulated during its defense, received the jury prize in a competition dedicated to eco-refuges and was exhibited at Milan Design Week 2025. Martin then joined Cutwork Studio, an architectural studio that also develops furniture, where he works on projects related to compact spaces and domestic uses. He continues his experience at Yaplusk, an architectural agency committed to the reuse of materials and the realization of projects in public space, from objects to spatial devices. Nicolas trained in publishing houses, with craftsmen as well as in architectural agencies. It is notably at Noma Éditions that he has developed his singularity, brought by a particular attention to industrial processes and the use of respectful materials. Subsequently, at Ateliers 2/3/4/, he directs his reflection on the place of the object within the custom-made spaces he designs. Deeply attached to manual labor, he weaves a constant link between industry and craftsmanship. These experiences have fueled their interest in a design practice at different sites.
