Marie-Marie Defour

Marie-Marie Defour, born in 1993, is a designer of objects, furniture, and spaces. Based between Lyon and Paris, she graduated from the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 2018. Her work explores the relationship between an object and its user. She designs engaging and modular objects that allow everyone to invent their own uses for them. Rejecting fixed forms, she seeks to create spaces for freedom and expression in everyday life. Beauty, the poetry of form, and attention to materials are central to her approach. Environmental issues are considered as creative catalysts, designing objects that are contextual, sensitive, and meaningful.
