André-William Blandenier is a graduate of the HEAD in Geneva. He made his professional debut in Paris in the 90s, where his first furniture creations were published. These pieces, notably the remarkable Baîkal Articulated Mirror and the Ulan-Bator chair, are exhibited from New York to Tokyo, in company with Philippe Stark and Ron Arad. He then collaborated in Italy in Milan and Rome with the architect Massimiliano Fuksas and the designer Enrico Baleri. He co-signs domestic objects, notably with the Swiss Mario Botta. His work is marketed among others by Hermès-Paris, Tisca, Swatch, and Pfister. His activity was particularly publicized during these years and he participated in many international exhibitions. In the 2000s, he explored a visual research of waste-design and consumerism. This artistic work is presented in several galleries during personal exhibitions André-William Blandenier’s activity in the 2010s was largely devoted to visual merchandising projects in high jewelry, packaging and luxury events, mainly for the Maison Chopard. At the same time, he is also involved in north-south artistic exchanges by organizing scenographies for international exhibitions in Europe and in Dakar with African and Western artists as part of the TGD association created by the artist Ousmane Dia. From 2020, he began a fruitful collaboration with the designer Nicolas Boulé by creating striking pieces as part of the b2b design office in Geneva. In 2024, he received an award from the Mudac museum of design in Lausanne as part of the exhibition Preppers Eco-Survival Design.
