Sebastian Herkner

Sebastian Herkner wurde 1981 in Bad Mergentheim (Deutschland) geboren. Er studierte an der Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach, wo er sich auf Objekt- und Möbeldesign spezialisierte. In seinen Werken verbindet er kulturelle Einflüsse, neue Technologien und traditionelles Handwerk. Sein Ziel ist es, die Schönheit des Materials hervorzuheben und den Blick auf subtile Details zu lenken. 2006 gründete er sein eigenes Designstudio in Offenbach am Main.

Von 2003 bis 2004 arbeitet er im Team der Modedesignerin Stella McCartney, London. Hier beginnt er, Materialien, Farben und Strukturen zu kombinieren. „Für mich ist es beim Design sowie beim Kochen, was ich auch gerne tue, wenn ich die Zeit dazu habe: Für ein gutes Essen braucht man gute Zutaten aber auch Gewürze, Farben, eine Komposition …“

Sebastian Herkners emotionale Verbindung mit Ligne Roset entstand schon in seiner Kindheit. Die Marke steht in seinen Augen für „französisches Design“, Kunsthandwerk und Qualität der Fertigung. Ganz besonders schätzt er, dass es ein Familienunternehmen geblieben ist und dass dadurch eine enge Zusammenarbeit mit Michel Roset und seinem Team möglich ist. Herkner geht es nicht so sehr um einzelne Projekte als vielmehr um eine langfristige Zusammenarbeit. Beide, Herkner und Roset, verstehen Design als etwas, das sich nur im Einklang mit den grundlegenden Erwartungen der Gesellschaft ausdrücken kann.

„Die handwerklichen Fähigkeiten sind unser kulturelles Erbe und bergen unentdecktes Potential.“ Es ist wie bei edlen Weinen, deren Rebstöcke tief mit den Wurzeln im Boden verankert sein müssen, damit sich der Wein entfalten kann. Auch der Designer braucht eine tiefe handwerkliche Verwurzelung, um alle Nuancen zu Tage zu fördern. Quick Ship Products
A non-refundable fee of 15% applies to returns, cancellations or changes on Quick Ship products. Full refunds are only given if the order is canceled within 48 hours of the order being placed.
White Glove Delivery service charges are not refundable. Returns must be received in original condition within 30 days. Credit card orders will receive refunds in the form of a credit back to the original account.

Returns are accepted only in the warehouse of your local retailer. No returns will be accepted at the store location itself. To make a return, please fill out a Return form and email to return@rosetusa.com. You will then be contacted by the store in charge of your order(s) with further details.


Made to Order Products
We do not accept any returns or exchanges on made to order furniture, this includes products not included in quick ship and/or custom (your choice of finish and fabric) products. 
Cancellation of an order can only be done within 48 hours of the order being placed. If you wish to cancel an order, please fill out a Cancellation form and e-mail to cancel@rosetusa.com. You will then be contacted by the store in charge of your order(s) with further details.

At Ligne Roset we believe in providing you with as much choice as possible for each model so that you can make each purchase a completely personal and individual one. For example, with the Feng range there are 18 different options for the sofa itself (including choice of feet) 38 fabric choices which range in price from grade E to grade X and on average forty different colour options. It is unlikely there will ever be two people with exactly the same sofa! For expert help and advise on all options available to you, you will need to speak to your local retailer who also be able to provide you with comprehensive information regarding pricing.
